Under CDM 2015, the Principal Designer is responsible for compiling and maintaining the H&S File. Smart Documents automatically designates safety-relevant records, keeps them synchronised with the live model, and packages them for handover at Gateway 3 without any manual assembly.

Every O&M manual, test certificate, and inspection record is attached directly to the 3D element it describes. Operators can click any wall, door, or system in the model and immediately access every document associated with it. Handover stops being a folder. It becomes a query.
